Hjørring Libraries

All Danish municipalities have public libraries, where you can borrow books, CDs and videos and use the Internet free of charge.

Traditionally we think of a library as a place where you can borrow books. The libraries in Denmark, however, offer a range of other services for you and your family…

Did you know that it is possible to borrow music, films, Danish language materials and journals and magazines in many different languages at the library? Or did you know that the Library offers free access to the Internet by Wifi or by using one of the PC’s in the Library?

And did you know that the Library has a kids’ area, offering picture books, access to PC’s and playing opportunities, where you and you children can have a nice time? Or that it is possible to use the Library as a meeting point, where you can meet with others to read/discuss literature?

The Libraries in Hjørring is therefore much more than just books…

Try visiting your local Library and:

  • Have a nicetime with you children in the kids' area offering picturebooks, access to PC’s, playing opportunities and much more.
